The Research and Innovation Authority (VAIA) Visits TOMARK PROTON
8. 10. 2025

As part of its mission to map the innovation potential of Slovak regions, the Research and Innovation Authority (VAIA) visited three key industrial enterprises in eastern Slovakia. The goal was not only to examine the current level of research and development but also to objectively identify barriers preventing innovators from accelerating in a dynamic and competitive European environment.
Alongside SEAK Energetics and Tatravagónka, VAIA representatives visited TOMARK on August 11 to tour the company’s production facilities, learn about the 30-year history of the parent company, and receive a briefing on the IPCEI H2 VTOL project being developed by TOMARK PROTON, a young spin-off.
The visit to eastern Slovakia convinced VAIA that industrial research and development in Slovakia is advancing even outside foreign corporate centers. VAIA also gathered valuable insights for further improving policies and conditions for innovators, creating a stable financial framework for supporting research, development, and innovation, and fostering an environment in which talents can stay and grow.
